Time management training

On the 13th of December 2016 time management training was held at the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (National Research University) by business coach and successful entrepreneur, Olga Baranova. The event was organized by Gubkin University SPE Student Chapter.

The training was held in an interactive form.  At the beginning Olga asked students to make a list of things, on which they usually aimlessly waste their spare time. This list included such activities as watching series, holding phone conversations, using social networks. Olga advised students to spend as little time on these activities as possible in order to achieve maximum productivity of their work.

Moreover, Olga told about the Eisenhower Matrix (also Priority Matrix) which helps to plan work effectively, by separating important issues from the least important ones, urgent from not urgent, and also by spending much less time on any activities which do not produce significant results.

It is worth noting that during the training Olga explained all her statements with examples from her personal experience, thus really motivating all the students.
